With just about a month to go before Rock Band 2 hits store shelves (and my tiny living room), word is starting to hit the streets on some of the more specific details about the game. IGN and others have reported the list of Achievements (360) and Trophies (PS) you can earn for your special (read: short, yellow bus) skillz. Here’s the list for both below.

Taken from Harmonix’s press release, and from our earlier “Rock Band 2 Features” story, there’s an important piece of info that you may have skipped over if you didn’t read carefully. 84 songs on a disc is a LOT of rockin’ to get through, but Harmonix wanted to have over 100 songs included from the get go! Due to time constraints, the amount of tracks got cut down. However, the upside of this is that those cut tracks will be available this fall (presumably on release day) as FREE downloadable content!

If you’ve gotten the latest issue of Game Informer magazine like me (or you’ve cheated and seen the screen shots on the Scorehero forums!) you’ve learned more specific details about the much awaited sequel to Rock Band coming this Fall. If you haven’t gotten the mag in the mail yet and don’t wanna wait, here are some of the details on all the new features (being announced today at E3!) that this non-gamer girl found impressive.
In a press release from Harmonix today, a lot of info on Rock Band 2 was revealed, including the full set list! Prepare yourself for some serious drooling, and compare the tracks listed to our article from last week.

An article published by IGN Friday revealed that, in conjunction with Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week festivities next week, an upcoming Xbox LIVE edition of their fabled “Game With Fame” series will feature New York Yankees pitcher, Joba Chamberlain. Xbox LIVE users have the opportunity to take him on in Activision’s latest, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
To take part in the fun, make sure to send a friend request to gamertag JobaGWF by 6:30pm Eastern Time on Wednesday, July 16th. Then fire up the game, check your friend list and rock out!

With all the Rock Band-related hype and tidbits floating around the Internet the last week or so, here’s one that’s really worth mentioning.
This juicy morsel, posted in an article by 360 editor Nate Ahern on IGN Insider, referenced via Kotaku, states as follows:
Immediately upon purchasing Rock Band 2 you’ll have the ability to download a huge library of songs, as well as all of the songs off of the original disc as a free download.
