Welcome to RockGamer.com

We’re the Got It All site for interviews, news, rumors and cool stuff related to rhythm games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Here’s a little bit about us:

The Alpha and Omega

Jen - jen@rockgamer.com
After being admitted to rock rehab 36 hours after being introduced to Guitar Hero III and Rock Band one lonely December 2007 weekend, Jen decided to channel her Inner Rock Goddess Energy into a more “socially appropriate outlet” and came up with the idea to create RockGamer.com. Being a non-techie type, this would have been impossible without her partner in crime, co-creator and techie-type Mike.

During the day, Jen’s alter ego is an MBA from the University of Florida, has worked in financial services for over ten years, and loves music - especially rock and rave.  Regardless of what it says on the front page, that blonde is not really her.

Mike - mike@rockgamer.com
Mike. The ultimate geek. He knows everything. He sees everything. He misspells everything. Mike is the brains behind the beauty and is the reason this site is up and running, since he introduced Jen to the games and is the only one who knew anything about making a website. His comic writings, originally designed only to amuse himself, have become legendary. At least among a half dozen people on the forums.

Mike has worked in technology since he was 16 weeks old. Seriously - he was fixing bugs before he was eating them in home made mud pies in the back yard. Ok, fine, kidding. Mike brings over 15 years of experience of QA, Software Development, and techie problem-solving to the table. When the site goes down: Email Mike.

Mike has a genius 3 year old son who plays drums better than his dad and sings Roxanne better than Jen and who will likely inherit this legacy when he’s old enough.

Rockin’ Reporter

Brad - chicagohorde@rockgamer.com
Ahh, Chicago. We love ya kid. Brad, aka Chicago Horde, is our man representing the Playstation fans. With a love of all games, music genre included, Brad has jumped into his writer’s role with the enthusiasm of a 16 year old sophomore getting his braces off the day before prom photos. With Brad keeping us on our toes emailing us Rock Band DLC announcements within minutes of being posted on the RB forums, we knew we had better tap that energy, and have him write for us. So far, he has the coolest logo of all of us. Actually the only one of us with a logo.

Brad has a regular day job to keep him busy and a young son who keeps him young at heart.

Rockin’ Reviewer

Cena - cena@rockgamer.com
CenaChainGang54 - the man, the myth, the legend. You’ve seen his reviews on the Rock Band forums, on Youtube and the Ellen DeGeneres show. Well, at least the first two anyway. Need silencers for your drums so you don’t get evicted from the co-op? Have you gone through six stock pedals and wanna know whose pedal is gonna hold up to your lead foot? Well, Cena is just the man to tell you. Join him in Cena’s Corner: his soap box to shout out his thoughts on products for Guitar Hero, Rock Band and other music related games. If Cena doesn’t review it, you shouldn’t buy it, my friend.

Cena (aka David) lives in California and has the best job ever - DJ - which allows him plenty of free time to ponder and play all things music game.

Code Monkey Extraordinaire

Miguel - smeeguel@rockgamer.com
After falling in love with the blonde picture of Jen and hoping she had wings in person, Miguel hopped on board the RockGamer.com bandwagon as a fan with a heart. His love of pounding things, especially drums, gives him a passion for this site that has turned into a personal learning quest. Code As You Go. Miguel is responsible for the fantastic DLC page as his first foray into web coding.

Miguel’s day job is sadly just as geeky as his passion for RockGamer, as he works in gaming development and design and has worked for some of the major industry names for over 10 years.  And, he heavily perspires while drumming.

Webmaster to the Gods

Jamie
Jamie is like the man behind the curtain, the Wizard of Oz, and Warren Buffett all wrapped into one. As contributor above all other contributors (meaning he helps us host our site with limited funding) he is our biggest source of support. Without his help behind the scenes hosting our site and fixing our bugs, we would be just another crappy fan site. Today, we are marginally better than that, and we have only Jamie to thank.
