Chatter is ablaze on the RockBand official forums with several members posting comments that they viewed a very special tv commercial today. According to several people, the VH1 Classic channel aired a promo video that announces Rush’s “Moving Pictures” album will be available for download next week (Tues Aug 26 for xbox and Thurs Aug 28 for Playstation).
Take a look at the video and see if it looks like a fakey fake to you!

But seriously I suppose it could be argued (Weakly, and only by people who care about such silly things as whether or not there should be instrumental songs in Rock Band) that because the intro riff is, in fact, morse code for YYZ (-.– -.– –..) that the riff is itself the lyrics to the song. So see? Its not instrumental!
I also found out (By using my mad ninja google-fu skills) that apparently the transmitted identity code of Toronto International Airport (where Alex Lifeson has been piloting for years) is….

yea, it was in one of the game mags awhile back before/or right after the pixies album.
i’d be really psyched about this if there weren’t already parts of this album in the game.
(yes, I know they’re different versions……but that’s just weak IMO)
i’ll have to DL a few choice tracks though, but with yyz already in the game genre….ehhh

I can’t wait for this album. I would stay up all night for it, but I have school the next morning, so that wouldn’t fly with my parents.
Red Barchetta and YYZ are gonna be epic!
And Camera Eye should be awesome…the whole thing is!!!

One of my favortie bands of all time, I’ve been drooling for this album. So I log in this morning at 6AM to get the songs and…..they aren’t there. Splash Screen on my main blade says “Coming Soon” yet Inside Xbox says they are available. Crappy way to start the day.
HMXSean is claiming technical difficulties, “Just so you know - we know that Rush’s “Moving Pictures” isn’t up yet. There is a technical difficulty that is being worked out. I’ll alert you when it is all clear.”
This was after he initially said Working Man wasn’t up instead of Moving Pictures and everyone thinks there’s now a mysterious third version of Working Man.
Have fun playing today everyone, I’m off to work.

Nooo!!
We just got back from Orlando, it’s 5:45PM and STILL no Moving Pictures.
My guess is YYZ is breaking things left and right. Fix it HMX!!!
