Looks like our brothers and sisters over at the ScoreHero forums dissected some video from G4 TV, and could have ‘scored’ the very first glimpse of what’s in store for us with Rock Band 2. According to the screenshot, the following songs are available in the pre-release version of the game:
• “Panic Attack” - Dream Theater (or Finger Eleven)
• “Chop Suey” - System of a Down
• “Give It Away” - Red Hot Chili Peppers
• “Everlong” - Foo Fighters
• “Kids in America” - Kim Wilde
• “Ace of Spades” - Motorhead
• “Hello There” - Cheap Trick
• “Any Way You Want It” - Journey
• “Pinball Wizard” - The Who
Kim Wilde? Journey? Harmonix…. If this rumor is true rock on. I’ve always wanted a little more diversity and you’re delivering. Smeeguel must be DROOLING over beating out Chop Suey on the drums. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Let the war begin.
Head over to the ScoreHero forums to read the thread and see the screenshot.

Sounds pretty good so far! I will say though, that I’m not really a Foo Fighters fan. I don’t hate them, but they’ve never really done much for me. Still, I’m stoked about the rest!
And that explains the omission of Pinball Wizard from the Who pack!

Ha, yeah, I was wondering about that. Looks good, but I’m hoping for some other good songs, too…like, perhaps, an actually GOOD Maiden song?? Like, I dunno, anything from Piece of Mind or A Matter of Life or Death (my two favorite albums).
When my dad played Run To The Hills, he was like, “You said this band was GOOD!” so I’m hoping for a song that I can actually prove him wrong with.
So…we’ll see what September brings.

All I know is now that AC/DC has pretty much been confirmed for GH:WT, we sure as hell better get some for Rock Band while they’re at it……
