No, you are not asleep and this is not a dream. As we reported yesterday, to celebrate the announced launch of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, the kind folks in the ivory towers have given us a peek of what’s to come. Aerosmith has re-recorded their very first single ever released - Dream On. While the song went largely unnoticed at first, it reached #6 on the charts when it was re-released to Aerosmith’s then larger audience in 1976 .
I downloaded it and played it this morning, and it’s currently available for both Xbox and Playstation 3 Guitar Hero III rockers. Not a terribly difficult song to play, but it still gives me chills and totally rocks.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith will chronicle the band from their beginnings showing the band’s growth and success. It’s due to be released June 1.

Awesome song. Glad it’s free though. I wouldn’t buy it unless it was on Rock Band.

I’d buy it if it was on GH III. I think GH III is a better 2 player game then Rock Band is. But I think Rock Band is a better 1 player game. I still wish I could do world tour mode solo though. I need to make enough money to get my goat head guitar

Well I missed this DL by 1 day. Ohh well at least is was not a good song. In any case they should bring this back for free DL I think that was a crappy thing to do on their part they all ready have the song prices too high as it is. Getting the free songs is the only way I will get to play new stuff on GH3.
